Judged by Hannah Long and Terry Pattinson, Heniarth Yes Sir owned by Anouska Potter took the TopSpec Pretty Polly Ridden Championship at the North of England Summer Pony Show at Arena UK, Grantham.The competition drew in 14 finalists of all types and sizes who set a high standard for the class.Six-year-old, Heniarth Yes Sir a beautiful home produced grey, stood out and proudly took home the championship title. Runner up was awarded to five-year-old Sophie Simonds and the 10-year-old Dartmoor Pumphill Brosnan.Heniarth Yes Sir was ridden by Anouska’s five-year-old son Aston Potter-Firth and the championship win saw them take home the £1,000 prize to their base in Pickering.Judges Hannah Long and Terry Pattinson were in agreement the six-year-old grey Welsh Section A and Aston had the winning edge.Said Anouska: "Heniarth Yes Sir is always so laid back, he is a pleasure to own and work with and is so willing to turn his talented hoof to anything.”Known as Eddie in the stable, the grey Welsh Section A pony is a successful contender from the Heniarth stud having placed fourth at HOYS last year in the lead rein final.Heniarth Yes Sir and Aston have recently won and qualified for the Horse of the Year Show for the second year running at the Scottish Horse Show. The star pony also contests first ridden and open classes with Aston’s 12-year-old sister, Anya.Anouska’s home produced supreme Heniarth Yes Sir is out of Sunwillow Yasmin and sired by Heniarth Mr Milligan. The TopSpec Supreme Pretty Polly Ridden Championship is for home-produced ponies and showing is very much a family affair for the winning team.
